Rust On Pipes

Try Coca Cola. I got this tip from a person who has been working with cars and motorcycles all his life. He swears by Coca Cola to get rust off exhaust pipes. It also works for pipes in the bathroom and laundry room.

Controlling Athletes Foot

Spray shoes, sandals, slippers and all footwear with Lysol when you take them off. This way, you don't keep giving it back to yourself. Try to wear different shoes as often as possible.

Be sure to remove all dead skin from the area every day.

I use athlete's foot cream in the day and baby power at night. This ritual, (including above) performed for a period of 1-2 weeks should cure most cases.

Falling Asleep In The Heat

No A/C? Obviously a fan is helpful. But here's a tip that will help give you about 20 minutes of coolness while you fall asleep.

Fill a spray bottle with water. Spray your top and bottom sheets and pillowcases until they are damp...not soaked..just damp. Immediately place them in your freezer. Wait at least 30 minutes (or longer if you can) and put the sheets on the bed. Jump in!! You have about 20 minutes of coolness. Usually enough time to fall asleep.

Don't Sweep Floors

I find that sweeping any floor only pushes the fine dust and elemnts around the room and they settle in another place. Instead, vacuum the kithcen, bathroom and hard wood floors. It takes NO more time and makes washing the floor a lot easier whereas there is practically no loose dirt on the floor to gunk up your mop or steam cleaner. More efficiency and no additional time sounds good to me!

Got Ball Point Pen On Your Clothes?

I have found that in many cases hair spray will take it out. Just spray the area closley (about 6 inches away) for just a second and rub lightly with a clean white cloth.

Turn Liquid Bottles Up Side Down & $AVE

You will be amazed at how much more you can get out of shampoo, dish detergent, laundry detergent or anything with the same type of consistency. I can do an average of 2 additional loads of dishes in my dishwasher. I get a couple more washings from my shampoo and a couple more loads of laundry. This saves bucks in the long run. For the shampoo, I add a step. Once turned up side down and I got all I can from it, on the next use, I put a little water in the bottle and shake it up. It can dilute the shampoo but often I get enough for one more washing : )

Easy & Quick Microwave Clean Up

It's as easy as 1,2,3. Just fill a coffe mug with tap water and add a lemon wedge. Place it in the microwave on high until the water boils for a few minutes. Do no let the water boil away! Once done, all the debris in the microwave will wipe off easily. It's basically steam cleaning your microwave. The lemon is for a nice fresh scent. You can also try adding an orange slice instead.
